Privacy Policy for Dilycode

 Effective Date: March 23, 2026

Dilycode (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Dilycode application (the “App”), which enables authorized users to automate the sharing and posting of content to the Facebook Page named “Dilycode” (the “Page”).

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, disclose it, and how we protect it when you use the Dilycode App.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information strictly necessary for the App to function:

  • Facebook Access Token — When you connect your Facebook account and authorize the App, we receive and store a Page access token (typically a long-lived Page access token) for the “Dilycode” Facebook Page. This token allows the App to post content to the Page on your behalf.
  • Basic Account Connection Data — During the Facebook Login / authorization process, we may receive your Facebook user ID, name, email (if you choose to share it), and the list of Pages you manage — but we only use and store information required to identify and manage the Page access token for “Dilycode”.
  • Posted Content Data — Any text, links, images, videos, or other content you choose to post or schedule through the App. This content is sent directly to Facebook’s servers via the Graph API.
  • Usage & Log Data — Automatically collected technical information such as IP address, browser/device type, timestamps of actions (e.g., when a post was queued or published), and error logs — used solely for debugging, security, and service improvement.
  • No other personal data — We do not collect or store your Facebook posts (except those you explicitly post via Dilycode), friends list, photos outside of posted content, messages, or any other Facebook data.

We do not collect sensitive personal information (health, religion, political opinions, etc.).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information only for the following purposes:

  • To authenticate and connect to the “Dilycode” Facebook Page using the stored Page access token.
  • To post, schedule, or automate sharing of content you provide to the Page.
  • To operate, maintain, debug, and improve the App’s functionality.
  • To detect and prevent abuse, unauthorized access, or technical issues.
  • To comply with legal obligations (if required by law or valid legal process).

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, marketing to you, or any purpose unrelated to operating the App.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We may share information only in these limited cases:

  • With Meta (Facebook) — as required to use the Graph API and post content (Meta receives the content and token as part of normal API usage).
  • With service providers (hosting, cloud storage, logging) under strict confidentiality agreements — only to the extent necessary to operate the App.
  • If required by law, court order, or government request.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice where possible).

4. Data Storage and Security

  • The Page access token and minimal related data are stored securely using industry-standard encryption and access controls.
  • We implement reasonable security measures to protect against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse of data.
  • Tokens and data are stored only as long as needed to provide the service (or until you revoke access).
  • We cannot guarantee absolute security — no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your Page access token and related authorization data only while your connection is active.

  • You can revoke access at any time by:
    • Removing the App from your Facebook settings (Settings → Apps and Websites → Dilycode → Remove).
    • Or by contacting us to request deletion.
  • Once revoked, we will delete the stored token and related logs within a reasonable time (usually within 30 days).
  • Log and usage data are kept for up to 12 months for security/debugging purposes, then deleted.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law (e.g. GDPR, Egyptian Data Protection Law), you may have rights including:

  • Access to the data we hold about you
  • Correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion of your data (including revocation of the token)
  • Restriction or objection to processing

To exercise these rights, contact us at the details below. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

You can also manage permissions directly in Facebook:

  • Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites → Dilycode → adjust/remove permissions.

7. International Data Transfers

The App may process data on servers located outside Egypt (e.g., cloud providers in the US or EU). We use appropriate safeguards for any such transfers.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in some jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. Significant changes may be notified via the App or email (if provided).
